Falda presents the most balanced chinotto field in productive terms, characterized by sandy-loam soils with good water availability, typical of the coastal plains of the western Ligurian Riviera. This results in regular vegetative development, managed through calibrated pruning and targeted canopy interventions to promote fruit aeration. The field shows moderate internal variability, linked to distance from the coastal strip and exposure to sea winds, requiring differentiated management to maintain qualitative uniformity and homogeneous fruit size. It is the main contributor to the production of chinotto destined for artisanal processing.
